Privacy

Big Numbers, Inc. provides a read-only iOS spending tracker and a read-only Grok connector. This policy covers both. We do not move money, sell your data, or use it for advertising.

Grok connector

The connector is a server product. It is separate from the iOS app.

  • We never send bank credentials, Plaid Item IDs, or access tokens to Grok.
  • Grok receives only aliases, display names, balances, and transaction descriptions from our MCP tools.
  • We store Plaid Item access tokens on our server so we can fetch the balances and recent transactions you asked Grok to see.
  • We store your Whop user id and membership id so we can recover linked banks on a new device and enforce your plan's bank cap.
  • We store a keyed HMAC of your browser credential, not the raw cookie.
  • To delete connector data, open Manage, remove each bank, and disconnect Grok. Cancel on Whop to stop billing.

iOS app

The App Store app keeps spending data on your device. It does not share that local cache with Grok.

  • Transaction amounts, dates, merchants, and categories used to show daily, weekly, and monthly spending.
  • Bank connection tokens for the app live in the iOS Keychain.
  • Face ID / Touch ID stay on-device when you turn biometric lock on.
  • Device and crash data may be collected to fix bugs.
  • Reset App in Settings deletes local data on that device.

How we collect bank data

  • The Grok connector links banks with Plaid only.
  • The iOS app links banks with Plaid. Teller was used historically on iOS and is not offered for the Grok connector.
  • You can also enter preferences and settings in the app.

How we use information

  • Show spending in the iOS app and widgets.
  • Answer Grok questions about the banks you linked to the connector, after you subscribe.
  • Enforce your Whop plan's linked-bank cap and recover a connection on a new browser.
  • Authenticate you (app biometrics; connector cookies and Whop login).

We do not use your personal data for advertising or share it with third parties for commercial purposes.

Service providers

We do not sell your personal information. We use:

  • Plaid (https://plaid.com) to connect financial institutions.
  • Whop (https://whop.com) for Grok-connector checkout and membership.
  • Apple for App Store distribution and push delivery to the iOS app.

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only as needed to perform their services. We may disclose information when required by law.

Retention

  • Connector tokens and ownership records stay until you remove the bank or disconnect Grok.
  • iOS cached transactions expire on a short interval (default: 1 hour) and are removed if you reset the app or disconnect a bank there.
  • We keep data only as long as needed to provide the Service you asked for.

Your choices

  • Remove a connector bank or disconnect Grok from Manage.
  • Cancel billing on Whop.
  • Disconnect a bank or Reset App in iOS Settings.
  • Turn biometric lock on or off in the app.

International users

The Services are designed for users in the United States. If you access them from elsewhere, your information may be stored and processed in the United States.

Children

Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Contact us if you believe a child has provided data so we can delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page and, for the iOS app, noted in the app when practical.
